Associate Member Committee
Cathy Ashcroft, Chairwoman
Provides programs, opportunities and a forum to enhance the value of membership in BOMA for Associate Members by providing access to the Executive Committee and Regular Members through networking sessions, social events, and BOMA business meetings.
Codes & Legislation Committee
Don Haas & Rich McClure, Co-Chairs
Reviews, plans, monitors, and recommends advocacy strategies on legislative and regulatory matters of a state and local government nature that impacts the commercial real estate industry.
Communications Committee
Natalie Kidd, Chairwoman
Coordinates the publishing of the annual Reference Book. Evaluates all correspondence (website, stationary, and newsletter). Responsible for the solicitation of advertising in the Reference Book.
Community Involvement Committee
Kathleen Wilkins, Chairwoman
Coordinates BOMA’s involvement with community organizations. Plans and coordinates community affairs events and activities and provides assistance to designated BOMA/Philadelphia’s charities.
Education Committee
Mary Robertson, RPA, Chairwoman
Plans, conducts, and evaluates the professional designation of the BOMI Institute (FMA, RPA, SMA and SMT) programs as well as workshops and seminars on issues affecting the real estate industry. Studies and recommends policies in regard to the BOMI-BOMA Philadelphia Scholarship Program.
Emerging Leaders Committee

Executive Committee
Ed Donaghy, RPA, LEED, AP, Chairman
Membership Committee
Steve Olenik, Chairman
Develops and follows up on prospective members and recruits new members. Educates BOMA members on the benefits of continued membership. Serves as idea gathering group for recruitment and retention of members.
Nominating Committee
Cathy Ashcroft, Chairwoman
According to the Bylaws, the Executive Committee shall select a Nominating Committee and submit the proposed members to the Board for approval. This shall occur on or about February 15 of each year. The term of the Nominating Committee shall be one (1) year from the date of their approval by the Board. In the event that a member of the Nominating Committee should resign, the Executive Committee shall appoint a replacement member to the Committee
Program Committee
Jim Thatcher, Chairman
Determines short-term programming needs for the membership. Plans and conducts programs to meet those needs. Plans the annual golf outing, monthly meetings and trade show.
Safety & Security Committee
Ronald R. Rabena, Chairman
Plans and coordinates educational programs, seminars and workshops that provide assistance to members on issues concerning safety and security matters.
Scholarship Committee
Marita S. Osborne, CPM, Chairwoman
Establish an Agreement between BOMA/Philadelphia/BOLR and The Philadelphia Foundation and develop criteria for the BOMA/BOLR Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships to the children of members of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) 32BJ, Local 36, who are employed in a Building Operators Labor Relations (BOLR) member building; the children of individuals involved full time in the management and/or maintenance of a Building Owners and Managers Association of Philadelphia BOMA/Philadelphia) member building; and the children of the designated representative on file for Associate Member companies are eligible for the scholarship. The scholarship funds are for tuition, books and fees to attend any non-profit two-year college (community college), four year college or university, or vo-tech school.
Suburban Committee
Laurence Fedorka, Chairman
Plans and coordinates seminars and workshops that relate to problems and/or issues that affect individuals in the suburban region of BOMA/Philadelphia’s membership.
The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards Committee
Michele O’Keefe, RPA, Chairwoman
Plans and conducts the awards program to recognize building of the year recipients. Solicits nominees for TOBY and coordinates the judging and recognition process.
Utilities Committee
Geoffrey Irvine, RPA, Chairman
Reviews, monitors and provides advocacy for local and state utility issues that impact the commercial real estate industry. Further, the Committee hosts education seminars (e.g. latest technology and cost savings methods) and reports pertinent utility related information to the Association, so as to keep members in tune and current with industry issues.
