To help offset rising costs of higher education, BOMA Philadelphia and BOLR established its Scholarship Fund, to award scholarships to the children of employees working in member buildings. The BOMA Philadelphia-BOLR Scholarship Fund is designed to provide financial aid in the form of scholarships for the children of those members affiliated with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) 32 BJ, Local 36, who are employed in a BOLR member building. The children of individuals involved full time in the management and/or maintenance of a BOMA member building are also eligible.

The scholarship is available to the children of the individual that is currently on file as the representative for the associate member company.
Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors pursuing further education at any non-profit two-year college (community college), four-year college or university, or accredited vocational-technical school. Scholarship funds may be applied to costs for tuition, books and/or fees.

PLEASE BE SURE ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ARE SUBMITTED WITH THE APPLICATION AND SIGNED IN THE APPROPRIATE FIELDS. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
NOTE: The BOMA-BOLR Scholarship Committee understands that some of our applicants may be experiencing difficulty obtaining a current FAFSA report this year. If you plan to apply for the BOMA-BOLR Scholarship again this year, please do all you can to get your FAFSA report and send us a copy by the March 29th deadline! However, if you are NOT able to obtain one by then, you may submit your package without your FAFSA report. We do ask that you forward it to us as soon as it comes in.

THE BOMA-BOLR KAYTE FAUX MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

In honor of long-time member Kayte Faux, the BOMA-BOLR Scholarship Committee established the KAYTE FAUX MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP.
Kayte had a fierce dedication to helping others, always giving her time, energy and resources to charitable causes. While she was a very visible and active member of BOMA’s Scholarship Committee, Community Involvement Committee, her church and countless other non-profit organizations, she often helped individuals or families in challenging situations by providing food, gifts, counseling, friendship and so much more. She did so quietly and out of the goodness of her heart, never seeking recognition or praise. She simply wanted to make the world a better place for those in need. To carry on Kayte’s spirit of giving, the KAYTE FAUX MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP may be awarded annually to one BOMA-BOLR Scholarship applicant who best demonstrates a commitment to community service and volunteerism. The individual will reflect Kayte’s selfless dedication to helping others. All requirements and criteria outlined by the BOMA-BOLR Scholarship must be met for consideration. The scholarship will be an additional gift in a TBD amount from the established scholarship account, given to one applicant already receiving the BOMA-BOLR Scholarship. The recipient will be selected by the BOMA-BOLR Scholarship Committee.
