In honor of our friend and colleague, Mike Coleman, retiring after more than 30 years from AlliedBarton (now Allied Universal) and has since passed on December 3, 2020, the BOMA International Foundation has created a scholarship fund in Mike’s name to support the costs for young or emerging professionals to attend the BOMA International Annual Conference and Expo.

About
the
Fund

Scholarship recipients will receive a complimentary registration to BOMA International’s annual conference, plus $500 toward other costs (airfare, hotel, etc.), making the value of each scholarship $1,200. With help from our local associations and members, BOMA International will solicit scholarship candidates annually, and a Review Board will be appointed to review applications and award the scholarships. The number of annual awards will depend on the size of the fund, but it is our goal to award at least two scholarships per year, beginning with the June 2017 annual conference.

Fund contributors will be acknowledged in materials about the scholarship, on BOMA International’s web site, and at the annual conference. Contributions are welcome from individuals, BOMA local associations, and corporations. Contributions to the BOMA Foundation are tax deductible.
