Recognizing individual differences — whether it be race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, other ideologies and cultural experiences.

Equity
Creating an environment that ensures fair treatment, access and opportunity for all.

Inclusion
Maintaining that BOMA is a safe and welcoming culture for all where members feel a sense of belonging so that views can be shared, heard and received with respect.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee aspires to help cultivate an industry wide culture that understands that diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to continued excellence. Our goal is to become a resource to the industry in support of initiatives that expand diversity, equity & inclusion by developing strategic initiatives, partnerships, stewardship, innovation, and education, The committee will facilitate programming at BOMA meetings; sponsor education and networking events for our members that help foster understanding and best practices with diversity, equity and inclusion.

The committee also seeks to develop a more diverse organization that reflects the communities we do business in through recruitment and retention. Our goal is to facilitate conversations to expand the diversity of the talent pool in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Our goal is to form partnerships with local associations, corporate members and other groups to identify and prioritize target audiences; develop programs that support and develop careers in the commercial Real Estate Industry including the creation of scholarships, mentoring and educational programs.
