National Naloxone Awareness Day is intended to heighten public awareness of drug overdoses, and the availability of life-saving opioid overdose reversal medications. The awareness day was launched by Victoria's Voice Foundation in 2023 with support from a bipartisan congressional resolution recognizing the awareness day annually.
