"Show Your Stripes Day” – a day dedicated to growing global awareness about human-caused climate change, its cascading impacts to our health and our homes, and what we as a society can do to ensure a sustainable future for the people and places we love. Climate warming stripes powerfully illustrate the rise in Earth’s average surface temperature. Fueled by carbon pollution, this unprecedented global warming is influencing an increase in both the frequency and severity of extreme weather events, including record-breaking heat waves, severe storms, and flooding rains in Philadelphia and across the world. On Show Your Stripes Day, our team at Climate Central would be thrilled for the BOMA Philadelphia Skyline to participate in this global campaign by showcasing the image of climate warming stripes, with the goal of helping to drive climate conversations and inspire the climate action needed now to secure a healthy and just future for all.
