The Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation operates and programs the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza on the Parkway and educates the general public about the universal lesson of the Holocaust through public programs, teachers trainings, and student activities.
This year we are partnering with 3G Philly for International Holocaust Remembrance Day (IHRD) programming. IHRD always falls on January 27th to commemorate the date when Auschwitz was liberated in 1945. As part of the commemorative efforts for this year’s event, we are looking for partners who would be willing to light up their building yellow on January 27th anywhere in Philadelphia. Note that the same initiative is taking place in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. We are also going to host a public commemoration at the Holocaust Memorial Plaza on the same day.
